Busy never endss

Finally get my hands on blogging a little today! LOL!
Have been busy since last week.

Last Friday which was a Public Holiday, woke up at the usual timing (6am).
Drove home and took dad's car and off to 'visit' our granddad for early Qing Ming.
Heres a little about what we do during Qing ming (okay, I took all this from wiki) haha!,
'The Qingming Festival is an opportunity for celebrants to remember and honour their ancestors at grave sites. Young and old pray before the ancestors, sweep the tombs and offer food, tea, wine, chopsticks, joss paper accessories, and/or libations to the ancestors. The rites have a long tradition in Asia, especially among farmers. Some people carry willow branches with them on Qingming, or put willow branches on their gates and/or front doors. They believe that willow branches help ward off the evil spirit that wanders on Qingming.'
But in short, chinese will head down to the respective places to 'visit' their relatives or friends during this period, to help them to change the flowers and clean their tomb.
This year was slightly different, my uncles were at first planning to head down only at abt 10am in the morning, but because my dad gotta head back to his office to continue with his projects, so we set off early this year. Reached at around 7am, and over there was like already filled with people.

After we did all the necessary stuff, dad drove us home and off the boyfriend and I head down to 'visit' his grandma. But we never realised that the place was so packed that we had no place for our cars to park! LOL! So we had no choice but to park at some multistorey carpark which is like 4 traffic lights away. So we had to walk in in that hot weather. But oh well, i shall treat that as a good exercise LOL!

After all this visiting, we headed down to Clarke Quay, oh yea, early in the morning, 11am!
Check out the view at Clarky Quay! It was pretty relaxing, except the fact that we got no idea what we could do in such early hours LOL. But anyway, I bought an Paul Frank Umbrella from deal.com. And I was there to collect it.

This time round, I'll have the bf to drive! Since he has just gotten his driving license like 1 month ago ! hahah! he needs training doesnt he?

So a picture of myself (In case you guys miss me =D)

Food Blogger Wanabe: Tambuah Mas

I believe Im becoming a much more lively blogger this few days hahah!
Okay, thats because Ive really gotten quite a bit of pictures to upload and blog! LOL!
At least Ive made full use of my camera (:

Back to topic, but before I start, this is a super back dated post.
Le cousin and I headed off to Paragon to try out this Indonesia cuisine which she has heard raves abt. So here we are - At Tambuah Mas.

I have never been a fan of Indonesia cuisine, but Im always a fan of sweet stuff (Which explains my size!) LOL! This store wasnt located in a spot where it is easy to spot, its actually located in one corner of Basement.

Because we headed there early, so there wasnt any queue, but the customer service for this restaurant wasnt really that good. Because we were not being served and the waitress are actually chit chatting among themselves.

When we were seated (after a while), they had given us this complimentary belinjau crackers.
I think this is somehow an Indonesia specialty, because whenever my colleagues head over to Indonesia to meet their clients, they always come back with crispy crackers like these (:

They actually have a slight bitter taste after you have finish munching them ! (: Mayb this makes them unique.
Here's a picture of their desserts! (: And i saw quite a few of the people orderings (:
So I believe this shld not go wrong!
The designs they had in the restaurant.

I suppose this is the reason why I love Indonesian restaurants, they always comes with pretty decors which makes my day ! (:
Oh yea,! Here comes the main dish! (:
Tahu Telor is the name of this dish! (:

It comes with sweet sauce, but looking at this portion, it could feed at least 3 people.
Tahu Telor comes is a mixture of eggs and Tahu which means beancurd.
Le cousin and I had a hard time finishing.

The first mouth was alright, after which, the taste somehow become super gelat. And doesnt taste as good.
Oh well, fred not! We have rice to the rescue! (:
This plate of Nasi Kunning (SGD$3.00) smells really nice. They had fried shallots on the top, which gives out the extra flavoring. Slightly different from the cousin, I prefer sticky rice! =D
Just like those you ate in a Japanese Restaurants! (:

Check out the cousin being crazy with that wet tissue! hahaha!

Overall, I guess I would be heading back to try out the other dishes.
hahah! (: Even thou the service wasnt really that fantastic, but I wouldnt allow myself to go on empty stomach! LOL

Staycation - mOOn Hotel

Greetings All!! (:

Return to blog abt my staycation with lover boy 2 weekends ago!
Ive choose mOOn hotel this time round because of the pictures and I've heard a few comments/feedbacks abt it. So intended to give it a try! (:
However, it was rather disappointing, as the pictures and all doesnt turn out to be so wonderful as what we had in Wanderlust a year ago.

mOOn Hotel was located just a few blocks down Wanderlust Hotel.
And it was abt 10mins walk away from Bugis Station, which means tourists / visitors, you are able to walk to this station while looking ard at our streets! (:

They have a total of 80rooms which consist of different categories: Standard, Deluxe, Executive, Moonlight Suite. And guess which category did we choose in?

We have picked the Executive room, at first i was contemplating whether to choose the Deluxe, which comes with a long bath tub, but after much consideration, considering that we wont be staying in the hotel for a long time, we have decided to make do with normal bathrooms.

mOOn hotel was a little small hotel, but they still have their own mini reception area, as well as a mini cafe just like those normal hotels.

Their corridors are painted with neon green colors which brightens up our mood the min we stepped in.! (:

Spot the housekeeping over at the end, thats where our room is! (:

Welcome to my room of the day, -- Room 5-One-0!
This is a little unique, unlike other hotels, their rooms are usually in numbers instead of mixtures like this. (And its really easy to find the unit numbers hahah!)

A little platform, just like the ones we had in Wanderlust hahah!
Overall, the rooms are quite neat and tidy, or was it because, ive just entered the min the housekeeping lady was done! hahaha!

We choose the attic level, which means there is no curtains! )):
Its going to be really bright when the day comes.

Oh yes, did i mention, all Deluxe rooms has got no windows? And only some of the Executive Rooms comes with windows? hahah! Thats another reason why we picked Executive room.

A little self-shot for that day! LOL!
#ootd
Top - Joop
Blazers - Vivi
Shorts - Cotton on

What you see below is their so called dressing table i guess?
But we used that as our mini table! LOL!
And we brushed our teeth here too (:

A view from the bathroom.
The min we enter the bathroom, we could smell this weird stench, not very nice.
But it wasnt so strong that we could smell it when we are in our room.
Could only smell it when u enter the bathroom thou.

Oh yes, their toilets are basically open concepts, they have blinds to cover from the outside world.
(See below for more pictures)

Yes! Rain shower! My Favourite!! =D
Okay, I guess now you knw what i meant by open concept! LOL!
There is no coverage from when your friends / partners are lying on the bed! LOL!
They could practically see what you are doing! LOL!

This is what you will see from the other side of the window! hahaha!

Our mini coffee area. Oh yes, all the drinks and coffee/ tea are free of charges.
And they too comes with an Iphone dock, which allows you to play music.

A view from our bed to the door (basically the walkway!) :)

Comes with a mini cushion, quite pretty and soft (:

This is what you see from the toilet hahah!
I took this shot, while standing on the toilet bowl! LOL!
What you see are the shop houses that are nearby, and also you could see Sim Lim Sq from afar! (:

Simple hotels like this also provides us with amenities like below.
Basic stuffs like Bathing Towels, Hand Towels, Toothbrush, Combs, and etc.
Like it when are all nicely packed! (:

Check out lover boy, playing with the iphone dock.

And me camwhoring after taking pictures hahaha!
Testing out their beds, their beds are quite comfy.
Or was it because im away from home i feel that beds are quite comfy lol!

Lover boy and I heading back home to feed that Tiger the cat! pffft!

Actually Im quite surprise when such small hotels could also come with sewing kits

And nail file, and even scrubs haah! Haven got a chance to use them, but i'll use them soon! LOL!
Because ive brought them home LOL!!

Bought this 2 cute toothbrush holders from mommy and myself. Only at SGD$1.00 each from Bugis Street!

Before Ive ended, all their room rates comes tgt with breakfast for the next day!
Even thou they do not have a lot of varieties to choose from, but they do have my favourites, waffles and pastries! (:

They do have yogurts and cornflakes for us too! (: And even salad and fruits (:

This marks the end of my staycation at mOOn Hotel!
I hope this is going to be helpful for all the visitors / tourists! (:
If i have a choice, mOOn hotel would not be my choice again. Okay, or mayb I have high expectiation of the hotels or even Im too used to doing comparison to the one I had.
But anyway, overall this is not a huge hotel, but still its good for people who likes to go for a staycation.

In fact, their ambiance is quite cozy, and comfy! (:
But the bad side of this hotel was because they do not have good customer service, because, when Ive requested for a late check out during my booking, they did not take that into factor.
Apart from that, mOOn hotel, you serve me well.

Thank you! (:
