Food Blogger Wannabe: Good Morning Nanyang Cafe!

Last weekend was supposed to have lessons but ended up not getting any because of some issues that happened over at Kaplan.

So apart from ‘Tomb Sweeping’ on Friday, Saturday was a day to enjoy and relax ourselves. So we drove down to Sembawang Shopping Centre for a little bit of shopping and headed back to my place for dinner. Shopped at Daiso for some necessities and some useless stuffs, we decided to look for a place to sit and enjoy high tea before dinner. So this traditional coffee café caught my eyes.

It wasn’t really hard to spot btw, its actually just at the main entrance, and the shop was really bright and easy to notice. This traditional coffee café serves tea and coffee just like how Yakun did! (:

Okay, mayb its just because I prefer traditional cafes more than those new ones. But of cuz it depends on the place too! Haha !

Good Morning Nanyang Cafe was the name of this cafe.
Teh Si for the boyfriend and it was not that bad, but i still prefer the ones ive gotten from Yakun! =D And Ice Milk tea for me, okay Im quite particular about ice teas and coffees, firstly they must be yummy enough for me to like them! Secondly i prefer my tea/coffee milky! LOL!

But the ones at this Nanayang Cafe didnt give me that feeling )):

The have gotten really nice interior traditional designs.
Ceramic bowls are being hang on the walls to give us an olden days kopi tiam feel  (:

Okay because i was sitting just below this antique clock so this is the best i could take! hahah!
Another fact, I love antique clocks, I love how they look classic and simple and gives out that 'ding dong dong' sound whenever the clock strikes 12.

I always remember seeing antique clocks at Grams place last time, but too bad she sold her house away. Otherwise, it would have been really a good antique. =D

Another item that ive ordered (:
Kaya and butter toast! This is my favourite! I like how the toast is thick and crispy and how it makes the bread looks so tasty! (: And at first sight, I tot there is no kaya being applied on, but i was wrong, I didnt know how they manage but they did manage to put in  both butter and kaya, not thick but just nice.

My overall experience was great, except that the rain that day was ruining my perfect day! LOL!
But all in all, this cafe is worth visiting, okay mayb for the bread hahah!
But i do see people ordering mee siam and mee rebus from this stores, so i suppose its not too bad, shall give it a try next time round (:
