A Special Valentines Day!

On this special day, my brother got enlist into the army!
Hoping this will eventually turn him from a boy to a man! =D

It was raining so heavily since the morning, and I was so tempted to continue to sleep my way thru. I had to sacrifice my sleep and head down to Tekong with my family.

Camwhore a little before the bus come and fetch us to the SAF ferry terminal.

Beautiful scenery despite the heavy rain! That I wish i was on my way for my vacation! =D

I wore LBD tgt with my favourite kitty shoe and bag! (:
Actually was preparing for the night out with the boy!

The officers bring us out for tours and took a look a the boys bunks before heading to the auditoriums for more presentations by them.
And actually the more i see, the more i feel like staying in tekong! LOL.
After all the presentations, we were being brought to the canteen to try out their food.
Okay, because i hadnt had breakfast nor lunch, my first meal was their chicken rice!
And i mistook the green bean soup for the chicken soup (how stupid!).

After which, we set off back in to the ferry and back to the main island.

*****

Met up with the boyfriend at Clarke Quay, The Central.
I saw so many girls holding on to flowers, and I got my boy to get me one! And after walking a few rounds while waiting for the boy, i overheard an indian guy asking the sales person, how much are they selling the flowers at. And the sales person mentioned, its SGD$150! I was shocked!
Because basically it was day light robbery! LOL! In fact, i didnt knw the prices of flowers would jack up to be so high on this day!

After the boy arrived, we head down straight to our favourite restaurant. At first we had made a reservation at The Frementle Fish Market, however, we ended up turning that down because their Valentines day menu wasnt really that fantastic and we had to pay up to 200 bucks! Okay talk abt being expensive, does Valentines day always got to be so expensive?

We turn down that booking and head down to another restaurant, and we saw Hooters. I heard rave about how great their chicken wings are, and how sexy the girls are. But okay, we are there not to look at pretty girls hahah! But to enjoy the wings. LOL!

The list of drinks they served, and it was rather limited.

We tried their cocktails and I had Hooter-Rita (SGD$12.50) the one n the left while the boy had their Hooters Island Tea (SGD$14.50) the one on the right.
The drinks are really bad! My Hooters-Rita was a little tasteless while Boyfriend's was too sour.
Definitely wont go back for their drinks.

So I've ordered their well known Buffalo wings (10pcs at SGD$11.50).
It wasnt that fantastic afterall, mayb i'm not someone who enjoys sour stuff. But overall, I think these wings are better thn their main menus. They are able to choose from the different level of spicyness and also you are also able to choose if you want the sauce to be put separately or mix it together with the wings.
And we opt for option 2! Mix the sauce together with the wings.

Camwhore a little before our mains has arrived! =D

Next up would be our mains.

Ive ordered the Beef Fondue for myself (SGD$22.90)
Beef was a little too hard, and it comes with 2 kinds of sauce - Pepper , Curry Mayo and BBQ Sauce. The potatoes wedges are still acceptable and the coleslaw was a little too dry for my liking.

While the boyfriend ordered Garlic Butter Sole Fillet (SGD$18.90)
The fish was a little tasteless. but I do like the Garlic taste at the top. And the fish wasnt that fresh too.
Overall, beef foundue wasnt something that I will be ordering again.

What i like abt this restaurant:
Their atmosphere was really nice.
Mayb it was valentines day, and it somehow seems a little quiet.
I like their layout of the restaurants. A little old school design.

What I dislike abt this restaurant:
Its a little hard to get the attention of the waitress. The food wasnt up to my liking.
So if i were to head back, it will be to try out their buffalo wings again. LOL!

Overall Ratings: 6.5/10
Food: 6.5/10 (Beef Fondue) / 3/10 (Garlic Butter Sole Fillet)
Pricing: SGD$95.00 for 2 pax

Because Hooters drinks cant somehow satisfy us, we head down to The Bungy Bar which is just beside the GMax to watch people playing while we enjoy the drinks.

First time trying out their Pina Colada.
And it was a little too milky! ):
But overall, I'm quite happy with their drinks! (:

The Boy tried their Strawberry Daiquiri and it wasnt my cup of tea. But the boy likes it.
Sorry no pics on that thou )):

After this drink, we both ordered another Red Rock (Beer) for myself and Johnny Walker Black on the rocks for himself.

A must try over at The Bungy Bar would be their Cheese Fries if im not wrong.
It has always been a must order for both the boy and I.

What i like abt this restaurant:
They always had a band who will sing for the audience.
Nice ambiance. Sitting at the lily pad areas are better than sitting at the indoors.
The service are quite fast. Always able to spot us whenever our drinks are almost finished.

What I dislike abt this restaurant:
Their menus doesnt comes with the kinds of ingredients that was being added into the drinks.
Some of the drinks really ended super awful, eg. Rusty Nail (Its a type of cocktail, btw (:)

Overall Ratings: 8/10
Pricing: SGD$66.00 for 2 pax
